Sophie Calle - Catalogue raisonné of the unfinished

On the occasion of her exhibition À toi de faire, ma mignonne (It's up to you, my dear) at the Picasso Museum in Paris, Sophie Calle unveiled her unfinished ideas, which are also her failures. 

In this landmark collection, which reveals the hidden side of several decades of work, we find the main themes of her oeuvre, such as chance, chance encounters, and above all her central idea of incompleteness as an achievement, experimentation and failure as corollaries of artistic action. Stamped with a verdict in red indicating the reason for their incompleteness, these stories offer a mirror to her book True Stories.

Sophie Calle is the author, narrator and character of her stories and photographic scenes, works with a strong autobiographical content. She rose to prominence in the 1990s in France and the United States with the publication of numerous books by Actes Sud and the release of her first film, No Sex Last Night. She is now considered one of the greatest artists of the second half of the 20th century.
