This book offers an invigorating overview of some sixty photographers from Generation Z, born between the mid-1990s and 2010, whose photographs reflect an urgent need for representation and a desire to tell their own stories in a constantly changing world.

Contrary to the continuous and ephemeral flow of images circulating on social media, these artists create elaborate, free and critical works that deconstruct visual norms, question dominant narratives and invent new iconographies. Whether they live in Shanghai, Cape Town, Amsterdam, Paris, Lausanne, London, New York or Delhi, photography allows them to express powerful personal narratives, but also an incandescent collective energy.
