The book exudes a gentle, tranquil sensuality. It is also one of Claudia Andujar's first experimental works. By superimposing her images using a series of coloured filters, she creates a kind of X-ray of the female body in cheerful 1970s colours.

In 1971, Claudia Andujar met the young Sônia Carvalho in São Paulo, who was trying her luck as a model. Using a combination of coloured filters and unexpected framing, the photographer transformed their unique photo shoot into a daring X-ray of the female body, creating one of her first experimental works, as psychedelic as it was sensual.
This book is the first devoted to this seminal series in the work of Andujar, famous for her work on the Yanomami people.
Born in Switzerland in 1931 into a Jewish and Protestant family, Claudia Andujar grew up in Transylvania. A Holocaust survivor, she left for New York in 1946 and arrived nine years later in São Paulo, where she began a brilliant career as a photographer.
Deeply scarred by the traumas of war, she started a new life in Brazil. Photography allowed her to connect with others and understand this new territory. From the 1950s to the 1970s, she collaborated with numerous magazines, participated in exhibitions and travelled across the country.
