Exhibition Catalogue Steffani Jemison. Bound, presented at Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation Galeries Lafayette, Paris (2025).
Steffani Jemison is an artist and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her practice examines the relationships between body, memory, and history, and engages with U.S. culture, vernacular language, as well as the spheres of the private, the social, and the political, through various forms of narrative and temporality.
Bound is a bilingual publication (English/French) that traces two key moments in her work: an exhibition at the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève in 2024 and one at Lafayette Anticipations in Paris in 2025. The book brings together images, an interview with the artist, texts by Steffani Jemison, and a selection of texts that shed light on her practice, some of which are translated into French for the first time.
Co-published by Lafayette Anticipations (under the direction of Guillaume Houzé, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, Clément Delépine) and Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève (under the direction of Andrea Bellini).
