Éric Seydoux (1946-2013) was a silk-screen printer and publisher who left his mark on art publishing through his technical rigour and his commitment to artists.
Trained in the United States and then in Paris, he co-founded in 1974 L'Atelier, a creative space where several generations of artists, from the comic strip to the contemporary avant-garde, come together.
His expertise led him to work with Pierre Buraglio, Shirley Jaffe, Claude Viallat and many others. Promoted to Master of Art in 2008, he constantly explored the possibilities of screen printing, combining innovation and tradition.
More than a decade after his death, this first major monograph pays tribute to him, following the exhibition at the BnF in 2023 and the forthcoming exhibition at the Musée Matisse in Cateau-Cambrésis from June 2025.
