[Special Offer -55%] This hairstick is inspired by Carlo Giulano's jewellery. This italian artist moved to England in the middle of the 19th century and started to produce jewellery in a Greek and Roman style, selling them through well-established jewellers, just at the time when interest in archaeology reached its peak in England, accompanied by a growing demand for jewellery inspired by Antiquity.
Rather than faithfully reproducing jewellery of this period, he reinterpreted them, with sensitivity and refinement, to suit the taste of the 19th century, combining enamel, gold filigree, precious stones and fashionable materials, such as coral.
