The arrangement of the decoration, composed of wide bands with geometric motifs and narrow bands with various motifs, including inscriptions, is inspired by hispano-moorish fabrics of the 13th century.

The inscriptions mean "both happiness and prosperity" and "bliss". The geometric motifs composed of stars, octagons, and tracery recall the architecture of the palace of Alhambra built by the Muslim rulers of Grenada. This fabric was perhaps made in the workshops of Grenada.
