Vallauris International Biennale, Contemporary Creation and Ceramics (Bilingual French / English with a CDRom)
For the 23rd biennial festival, the Vallauris International Biennale is once again drawing attention to contemporary creation and ceramics.

The competition is intended to encourage and publicise European talents using the reputation of Vallauris, the town of ceramics, as a springboard facilitating their recognition around the world.
This year's guest of honour is Japan (after Switzerland in 2008 and the USA in 2010) because of the excellence of its ceramics production but also to show the solidarity of France and the Biennale in the face of the catastrophe that struck the archipelago on 11 March 2011.
The catalogue gives details of the 7 exhibitions set up in various places in Vallauris, presents and shows the work of the artists presentes, among them : Fukami Sueharu, Maeta Akihiro, Takagaki Atsushi, Nagae Shigekazu, Kimura Yoshiro, Nakashima Harumi, Ohno Yoshinori, l’Atelier Polyhedre, Claire Baudrimont, Élisabeth Brillet, Marc Bretillot, Matthew Chambers, Laurent Dufour, Jean-François Fouilhoux, Ken Eastman, Patricia Glave, Michel Gouery, Shigeki Hayashi, Chieko Katsumata, Bodil Manz, Pierre-Yves Le Sonn, Frank Louis, Monika Patuszynska, Turi Heisselberg Pedersen, Anders Ruhwald, Adrien Rumeau, Wilson Trouvé, les Sismo, Maarten Stuer, Betty Woodman…
